Drive By….

On my way to the dentist…

— Winner announced later today. Dudes. I fell asleep.

— My first button band was grossly underplayed. Second one was perfect:

Now I have to decide where to put the button holes on the second band, knit it, and block the sleeves. This baby SHOULD be done over the weekend.

— HUGENESS! Get your calendar’s out: I’ve got a TENTATIVE DATE for Spin Out 2007: September 29, 2007. I had my heart set on a date in September (I figure there’s less chance of rain) and apparently that’s a real tough month for Central Park. But Cherry Hill Fountain is free, and we’ve got our application in, so now I just have to wait for it to be approved. Fingers crossed. Don’t make any plans. We are DEFINITELY spinning in the Park this year!

Be back later. Wish me luck for no cavities!

  1. Good luck!
    CPH is looking great!

  2. Oh, yea! I plan on attending this year (couldn’t go last year). Your hoodie looks wonderful!

  3. Oooh, I’m giddy with anticipation!! Now I just have to hope the kiddos don’t have a show that weekend.
I’d be happy to dig in the stash & donate a prize, if you’re doing that again this year.
The CPH is looking goood. Much luck at the dentist.

  4. CHP looks fabulous and I love the color more each time I see it.

  5. Good luck at the dentist. CPH is looking really good.

  6. YAY! Spin OU! Woo Hoo! I can’t hardly wait. I should have my new portable wheel by then.
Your CPH is coming along nicely. Don’t think I didn’t notice you rockin Adrienne in your pics form Cali. (smile)

  7. lookin’ fabulous!! good luck with the dentist!

  8. Loving the CPH – hopeing to attend Spin Out this year, I can really see my fiber addiction heading in that direction 🙂

  9. Woo cabled hoodie!
Also, after the success of spin-out last year and my inability to attend due to being in San Francisco, what do you think about possibly giving your blessing to a spin-out West Coast? San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park has a thousand possible venues, all lovely for the 9 months we can count on no rain. Thoughts?

  10. I would love to attend Spin Out 2007, and learn how to spin. I have to go to NJ sometime this year for work, maybe I should schedule it for Sept. I read your Knitty article on last years Spin Out, what a large undertaking Cara, congrats. I will be sending good weather vibes to NY for September. Maybe I’ll see you in Centeral Park.

  11. Hahaha, I just ran across the picture of me knitting at *my* Central Park for last year’s Spin-In. I had a glorious day. ; ) You did, too, but maybe this year it’ll be outside w/full sun.

  12. Woo hoo! I hope to come and demonstrate my spinning ineptitude this year! I was prevented last year by grossly swollen ankles caused by being overly pregnant. Huzzah for a rain-free day!

  13. It looks GREAT. What do you mean by underplayed? (Just want to make sure I don’t do it, whatever it is!)

  14. If it doesn’t call for rain maybe I will take the train up again this year and stay longer than a NY minute.

  15. Okay, you’re seriously close to finishing — keep it up!

  16. OK, hurry up and finish! This is going to look great on you!

  17. Ooooh… my birthday is Sept. 27th, so I think that a trip to NYC to Spin Out would be the perfect birthday treat! *squee!*

  18. Okay, I know you posted this days ago and probably aren’t checking comments, but I AM SO IN! My 30th birthday is September 30th, and this sounds great for a birthday weekend. Hopefully I’ll pick up a wheel at the MD Sheep & Wool Festival and will have plenty of time to get used to it before the Spin Out. Can’t wait! 🙂
