It’s good to have goals. I’m going to turn this yarn into this sweater (inspired by this one) before it’s too cold to wear it. I’ve already made two swatches (going with US 8s) and I’m ready to cast on!
Wish me luck! Have a fantastic weekend!

Enjoy it!!
Isn’t beginning a new project grand?
What! No Meli picture?! As happy as I am that you are in new project mode, I was surprised (and a teensy bit disappointed) that the post was about knitting. Mwah! 😉
Go, go, go! You have a great weekend too! Enjoy G & M and have fun- can’t wait to see the sweater. Much love…
You are an inspiration for swatch knitting. Looking forward to your progress (and more pictures of Meli of course).
Should be a perfect knitting weekend; rain, rain, and more rain. 🙂
I too have been inspired by Margene’s CeCe. I’ve been hunting yarn, while trying to talk myself out of it. I might be lured by Elinor, though.
Go Cara, go!
Love the color.
Knock that sucker out!
That IS an inspiring sweater! Good luck making one of your own!
Oh swatches, so lovely. Have a good weekend and good luck!
It seems as though Margene has inspired a few of us with her sweater….I LOVE Cece and the color you have chosen is beautiful!
Happy Knitting!!
Very nice choice, and good luck!!!
I have Calmer in the same color and have been waiting to find a pattern for it. I’m definitely going to put this in my queue. I especially like Margene’s version. Thanks for the link!
Calmer is my favorite yarn. It is dreamy to work with. I made my first sweater – a baby sweater – from Calmer and I was thrilled with the results. I’m looking forward to watching yours come together!
Enjoy! The yarn and the pattern are a great combination (I’ve got one hanging in my closet :)).
I bought the pattern (inspired by Margene) too! I am going to swatch it in some cotton-ease that I have, as it is the perfect blue to go with a sleeveless dress that I have and want to wear to a wedding. I am going to knit like crazy to try to finish it by May 31, which may be a pipedream.
Knit Cara, knit like the wind!
Good luck! I just bought that pattern too. It looks like the perfect sweater to keep at the office, where it is refrigerated to near-Arctic conditions in the summer. Your swatch looks lovely.
I am making that right now and love the pattern. Easy to memorize. I am doing it in Lavold Silky Wool and it will be perfect for chilly mornings and air conditioned library meetings 😉
OK you evil woman, I just went to chicknits and ordered that pattern!! Thanks a lot!
