One Day

One day I’ll knit again, spin again, maybe even crochet again. Not today though. I’ve got a job this afternoon (a party – always hard work!) then some overnight fun, and a job early tomorrow. Then it’s home to await the kids! My house is considerably neater than it was three days ago, which I’m happy about, but I’m tired and there’s still a lot more work to be done.

I miss my knitting, desperately (especially since it would really calm me down right about now) and I miss you. If I’m not back here before the 4th – have a great holiday. And to the rest of you, have a fantastic weekend.

  1. Congratulations on your clean house. Enjoy your party (even though it is hard work) and your 4th! I hope that you find a little downtime to relax and destress. We’ll all be here when you return – as will your knitting. See you soon.

  2. A clean house is so satisfying, even when it sucks to get there from the present reality. I’m facing at least three days of cleaning before my parents come to visit from Australia in a week or so, not looking forward to it but it just has to be done!
Have a wonderful time at the party (as much as you can for a work gig), and I hope you have a relaxing 4th … with or without your knitting 😉 We’ll all be here when you get back, whenever that may be.

  3. You’re a dear – pure and simple. And your colors make me giddy and happy. You are very wonderful, and you have some amazingly wonderful readers.
I don’t read as many blogs as I *should* – heaven help me from all the shoulds I don’t do – but I’ll try to be better about reading yours.
[And don’t fret about the yarn shop review. We ALL need to assume the best when we read a review, and know that experiences differ and just because we say something isn’t perfect doesn’t make it BAD! I LOVE things that aren’t perfect, they suit me better!]
Thank you – your mention of us had an astounding effect.

  4. hang in there! and remember, your knitting will always be right there waiting for you just where you left off when you come back to it-it’s so good and faithful! even better than a husband or a dog, and less smelly 🙂

  5. Egad I love your pix. (When I pulled up your blog it was red sunrise/sunset over the marsh.)
Have fun. We’ll miss you. Your knitting, and your readers, shall await your return.

  6. I totally know how you feel! I’ve been cleaning for what seems like weeks (on the weekends), the big things that never got done last year, and maybe even the year before. Plus we had mice issues, so extra work there. And the bathrooms? It takes about a nanosecond for them to not look clean again…how does a clean rug get dingy so quickly? (I know, men in boots and dogs with dirty paws). And not enough knitting going on (but there was some incredible yarn purchasing, not incredible yarn, but incredible deal!).

  7. Congrats on the clean(er) house! WOOT!
and you have a great holiday too! :o)

  8. We will wait for you. Your knittign will be here for you.

  9. Lovely having a clean house. (Even lovelier if someone else has done it though).
Thanks so much for the beautiful picture.
