Fits and Starts.

Rip, rinse, repeat.

But that’s okay. Cause I’m in training. Practice, practice, practice.

The Great Enabler helped me get in touch with my adopted heritage with lunch. (Georgie was really jealous.) And did you think I could walk away empty handed?

DK Cashcotton and Koigu

It was weird – I felt like I hadn’t bought yarn in forever. That stuff really IS crack. In Cassie’s defense, she talked me out of the other Koigu, which, of course, I can’t stop thinking about.

I’m crazy busy today – I have to frame two photographs and get them into the city by 2 – think I can do it? We’re about to find out.

Comments

  1. I LOVE my new title. 😉
It was great seeing you, and you didn’t need the other color of Koigu. It would have looked awful in the picture with the greens. Trust me.

  2. Well, I think you can do just about anything, actually 😉
I feel gleefully lucky that I’m getting a package from you (what a sweetiepie you are)…I get to make the Goddess! which of course means that I have to go yarn shopping 🙂 It is weird, eh, that you can buy a whole load of stuff and then a week later think, hmm, it’s been forever since I really bought yarn. How soon the addicted forget…
I touched Koigu for the first time this weekend. Gaaahhhhhh…and it’s soooo pretty…Your purply sock, despite your bathtime-inspired mantra, is looking really beautiful too.

  3. That new Koigu is a keeper. And sounds like lunch was delicious — seems like a strong link between food and yarn connoisseurs, yes? (Not addict, but one with “discriminating taste”!!)

  4. Koigu, mmm, Koigu. Love the colorway.
The socks are looking good, too.

  5. I love all those greens! That koigu is great! Good luck with your training 😉

  6. The purple sock looks stellar! Koigu is definitely knitter’s crack. and Koigu socks – the best.

  7. I have a sweater’s worth of that same shade of Koigu! I got it for my birthday last summer, and the sweater is still awaiting my time. Isn’t it beautiful?!

  8. It is a sock!! And a beautiful one. Cassie is the best enabler. Look at todays post…lace. Knitting in all it’s incarnations is crack.

  9. My notecards arrived today and they are magnificent! You have outdone yourself – I thought they would be printed cards – little did I know that you would be sending actual photos! I love them!!!

  10. no matter what i say or how bad it sounds… do not let me out of this room OR tell me what you are using to knit those gorgeous socks.
i need to come up with a really crafty way (that is somehow more styling than BEGGING) to get all you fantastic photographers to Stop Posting Pretty Crack Pics. I am *such* a junkie.
btw, what are using on those socks, anyway?

  11. That purple sock is bee-yoo-tee-full. Seriously. I love it so much.
And that Koigu looks marvelous! I have to agree with Chelsea – it’s hard to stop being a junkie when you photographers take such lovely crack shots. Hee.
My bet is that you made it to the city by 2, frames and all. You are a rock star, after all. 🙂

  12. Nice stash and good looking sock. I am not disciplined enough to join the sockapalooza…i am afraid I would be a looza.

  13. What color Koigu is that??? I love it!!
