Blue Monday

I read this and was like, huh. It all makes sense now.

Meli and I arrived home yesterday and apparently brought the plague with us, as G took ill last night. So none of the fun things we were going to do today got done. We did go to music class, and that was good, but Daddy couldn’t come with us. And my errands were pretty much a bust. Not to mention there was a fender bender literally every two miles.

I’m in a rotten mood, but I’m home. And I’m not leaving. I might even knit a little bit.

Hope your day is better.

  1. I feel the same way. Blurgh.

  2. ooh sorry – I’ve spent this Blue Monday happily organizing more of my uncontrollable stash, and preparing to write a bog entry – it took me all day to get to this point!
please tell George to feel better – there’s absolutely NO REASON to leave the house today ;o)

  3. I’m at work, and will probably STILL be at work for hours! It’s always a blue Monday for me when 3/4 of the nation are having a day off and I’m at work!!! Glad you made it home in one piece. Sorry to hear about G.

  4. The upside to today being the most depressing day in history is that tomorrow HAS to be better!!

  5. Не зачет!

  6. I didn’t have the best start for a Monday, but it definitely got better as the day went on.
I heard about this on the BBC and the newscaster’s were so snarky, it was great.

  7. Well the British experts forgot to take into consideration that here in America it is the day before the inauguration so it was a great day – a day filled with hope and good feelings for a vast number of people here and in the rest of the world.

  8. well, it is over now and we do not have to do it again until next year. so pollyanna, right?

  9. Very interesting article. I haven’t been very blue lately, but I have had a case of the “Mean Reds,” as Holly Golightly would say. Aah, at least we have knitting, right?

  10. Oh no, it’s carrying over to Tuesday as well!! I woke up at 2:00 am to the sound of my 1 year old throwing up. She proceeded to throw up every 30 minutes for 4 hours. We finally ran out of clean crib sheets and sleepers for my poor baby. I totally feel your pain. Hope your Tuesday is better than your blue Monday! Have fun with that knitting – I can’t wait to see some project pics from you!
