Reality Bites

Well, that didn’t last long. Ugh. When I came home yesterday, even though I was in a good mood, the new pants veil had been lifted and all I saw was a really dirty house (we’re almost at squalor people) and pictures from my niece’s birthday party where I look really really fat. Jabba The Hutt fat. Fatter than fat. Gross.

What’s a girl to do? After I ate the super huge Baja Fresh burrito (SHUT UP! It was lunch AND dinner!) I actually folded clothes and put mine away and then knit two repeats on my beautiful new shawl. That almost made it better, but I did fuck something up near the end of the second repeat. It was easily ripped and fixed so we’re back on track.

I’ve got a lot of work to do before we leave on Sunday and I’ve got nothing new to show you – so I’m going to leave you with a couple of links:

First up – did you see what Nona the GENIUS is doing? She knitting a sock. Yeah yeah. We can all knit socks. But can you knit a sock SIDEWAYS?!? In true Nona style she’s got a serial tutorial going on for her new sock pattern: SIDEWINDERS. She’s up to the third part but there’s plenty of time to catch up. I’ve met Nona and she really is a genius. I’m not just saying that. She’s so smart it makes my brain hurt. GO THERE NOW.

Then, you all know that my dear friend Claudia is raising money for MS right? She’s got fabulous prizes to give away, including some of my notecards, and she’s gotten such a great response she’s had to extend her fundraising goal! YAY! I’ve already given twice because my motto is give early, give often and if you haven’t done so – you should just run right over there with your credit card in hand. (Or you can send a check. Or paypal. Claudia’s got all the details.) She’s trying to reach $30,000 and I’m sure she’s going to blow right past that.

In related news, the Lovely Anne of Knitspot is working her own raffle in conjunction with Claudia’s fundraiser. She, too, has fabulous prizes to give away AND she’s matching FUNDS!. You can find out all the information to win some of Anne’s good stuff here.

And if that’s not enticing enough, Lilith let me know yesterday that if you give to Claudia and tell Anne about it, she’s putting you into her OWN raffle for a fabulous pair of handknitted MONKEY socks!!!! That’s right! Lilith will knit you a pair of socks! What are you waiting for?

Whew! I actually feel better now. Thanks everyone!

PS – My current favorite make me happy trick? The ending of 40 Year Old Virgin. Dude. I dare you to watch this and not laugh your ass off.

You can thank me later.

PPS – In case you haven’t seen the movie, this scene appears after the 40 Year Old Virgin has had sex for the first (and second) time. This is supposed to be what he thinks of it. 😉

Knitting with the Enemy

WARNING: This post has LOTS and LOTS of LOVE in it. May cause diabetic comas. Consider yourself warned.

Yesterday? Well yesterday was a SPECTACULAR day. Seriously up there with one of the best. Why you ask? Well, I finished a pair of socks, which I expounded upon in yesterday’s post and then I went out and looked for pants. Let me explain. I’m fat – well – fatter than I’ve ever been and I have two pairs of jeans that fit and one is so worn it’s got holes up and down the seams on the legs. None of my cute summer crop pants or shorts from last year fit me and I’ve been DESPERATE to find something to wear. ANYTHING. I’ve tried on a billion pants and short – literally – and all of them, so far, have had a zipper that’s like an inch long. You know what I’m talking about. They hit so low it’s a miracle they’re covering my pubic bone. I can’t wear pants like that. I’m long waisted and it just doesn’t work for me. So I’ve been really depressed. About my body but also about the fact that I’m still wearing below average sizes for this country and I can’t find anything to wear. I even resorted to trying on MEN’S shorts the other day. I would’ve bought them too but there were a bit too big and I couldn’t stand to try on a smaller size.

So yesterday I thought I better try again because I’m leaving for vacation in five days and I pretty much have nothing to wear. I ended up at the Liz Claiborne outlet nearby my house and get this: EVERY SINGLE PAIR OF PANTS I TRIED ON LOOKED FANTASTIC!!! It was like some weird time space warp and everything I brought into the dressing room looked great. Pants. Shorts. Skirts. I actually had to decide what I was going to buy! IT WAS A DRESSING ROOM MIRACLE!

I LOVE LIZ CLAIBORNE!

And then – when I got in the car – high from my retail extravaganza – one of my all time favorite songs was on the radio. Best of My Love by The Emotions. I immediately rolled down the windows and SANG at the top of my lungs baby! WHOA WHOA! You’ve got the BEST of MY LOVE! WHOA WHOA!

I LOVE THE EMOTIONS!

Then, after trying on all my clothes and settling on one of the shorts I got dressed and went BACK OUT because I was so happy to have a pair of shorts that fit me. I went BACK OUT people. I never go back out. Ever.

I LOVE GOING BACK OUT!

When I got home, feeling so good about my day, I started a new project! Wing O’ The Moth! I LOVE IT!

It took me about five tries to knit the first five rows – just getting used to the new needles and the new (really thin – for me) yarn and the pattern and all that and then I was sailing along! I’ve got three repeats of the first chart done – only 11 more to go! (Hey Anne – if I add repeats in the first chart will I set myself up for a bigger shawl? I haven’t read that far ahead. Thanks!) Can I just show you a few of my fir cones?

OHMYGOD! Can I tell you? I am LOVING everything about this! The yarn – FANTASTIC! I love the color. I love the way it’s so light but yet I’m getting a fairly dense fabric. It’s freaking soft as all get out. It’s EXACTLY what I wanted. I might need to order like fourteen more colors. What is it? Classic Merino Lace Weight from Catherine at Knitting Notions! Go there now. It’s gorgeous gorgeous stuff. I’m knitting with the Green Apple colorway. And seriously, while the yarn is fabulous – Catherine is even more so. She gets the stuff out ASAP and was very helpful when I emailed her about needle size.

I LOVE CATHERINE AND HER KETTLE DYED MERINO!

Which brings me to my next love fest. I asked Anne and I asked Catherine – what needle to use? They both said 6s and I got myself a set of Lace Addis in 6s and started up. The yarn seemed so thin and my stitches seemed so big and I doubted. Truly I did. But then I persevered telling myself that since it’s a top down shawl I don’t need to really knit much to find out whether it’s going to work or not and they were RIGHT! The 6s are spectacular. And the needles? Well, I’d like to publicly thank Grumperina for her campaign to get Addi to make pointier needles. These are truly divine. I never knew what a difference the pointiness would make when knitting lace, but OH MY GOD! It’s AMAZING! And they’re not too pointy! I’m almost positive I will NOT be putting a hole in my finger. (Really though, I think it’s because I will never be speeding along with this project the way I do with socks and miters. I only poke the needle on the knit stitch and I have to pay attention on the knit rows with lace and the purl rows I don’t poke.)

I LOVE GRUMPERINA!
I LOVE ADDI LACE NEEDLES!

I’m saving the best for last – Anne and her pattern. Even though I’m only three repeats in, I’ve already got the fir cone part memorized. It’s looking lovely and I can’t wait to finish this shawl. Especially those Coronas! Anne has graciously answered every question I’ve had – before I even cast on for the thing – and her pattern is clear and the charts are readable and it’s all good. I want to knit on this all the time – which, as we all know, is the best sign of a great project. Thank you Anne! I can’t wait to see it finished! Therefore:

I LOVE ANNE!

I have to say, though, that G has a little bit of a bone to pick with you. I showed him my new project last night and told him it was called Wing O’ The Moth and he was very taken aback! “What?” he said. “Aren’t moths the ENEMY?” Don’t be alarmed if I start calling it Wing O’ The Butterfly, okay?

The Princess and The Picot

If you can stand it, so can I!

Finishing a pair of socks is like your birthday, all eight nights of Hannukah, Christmas morning, a gift from the tooth fairy, a visit from the Easter Bunny, fresh baked cookies, a good hair day, getting into your skinny jeans, making out in the car, and a Springsteen concert all wrapped up in a fantastic box with a shiny bow on top!! Okay. Maybe not as good as making out in the car or a Springsteen concert, but you get the idea. I love my new mini-monkeys!

I love that they are a bit tight (like my beloved Jaywalkers) so they stay up – no slouching here! And I love the colors and the STR and the undulations of the monkey pattern. I love that my friend Tina dyed the yarn and my friend Cookie designed the pattern and my friend Margene knit the modification. There’s just LOVE ALL AROUND!

Most of all, I love that when it’s finally chilly again I will have a drawer full of monkeys to choose from and you can bet your bottom dollar that my mini-monkeys with the picot edge will be the first pair I grab. There’s nothing like a picot to bring out my inner princess!

Monkey Socks

Pattern: Free on Knitty
Yarn: STR Lightweight in Watermelon Tourmaline
Modifications: I cast on with a picot edge and knit four repeats for the cuff. I did my preferred heel and toe. I used US#1 Addis for the entire sock.
Princess Rubber Ducky: My sister purchased them here. Knock yourselves out. There’s like a duck for everything.

Fit for a Queen

The princess birthday party was a RESOUNDING success. Think big backyard. Barbeque. Trampoline. Decorate your own tiara crafts. Sprinklers. Water Balloons. Castle Piñata. Ice Cream Cake. No rain. Family. Friends. LOTS of kids. At one point my niece was sitting on the top of the slide that lands you right in the blow up pool and she said to me – and I quote – “My party is CRAZY!” with the biggest smile you’ve ever seen. My sister and brother-in-law outdid themselves and I don’t think we’ll see another party like that for awhile. At least a year. 😉

On my way home from Philly yesterday I took a detour and stopped downtown at Rosie’s Yarn Cellar. I was desperate for some Addi Lace needles so I could start my Wing O’ The Moth Shawl. I ended up with two size 6s – the 32″ length and the 47″ length which I realize now was a HUGE mistake. I should’ve bought a size 6 32″ and a size 5 32″. I started on the size 6s, of course, because that’s all I have and I’m worried. For me, this yarn is LACEWEIGHT even though everyone says it’s a bit thicker than lace weight. I’ve never knit a shawl in anything thinner than fingering weight, to be honest, and the thinness is scaring me. I feel like it’s too loose. Like I need to knit it on 5s even though Anne told me that she’d knit the shawl on 6s with this yarn and she’s the kind of knitter that doesn’t knit too loose or too tight and usually gets gauge. I’m the same way. I might actually swatch which I SO don’t want to do – but I might. And I also might get me some 5s because I’m nervous that way. So no real start to Moth, but some good work on my latest monkey. I should have a finished pair for you tomorrow. Although you’re probably really sick of them already.

I didn’t walk away without yarn from Rosie’s:

Koigu. P123. I have a weird thing about Koigu. When I want to buy yarn and I don’t have anything specific in mind and the store has Koigu, I buy it. It’s become my souvenir yarn. But I rarely knit with it. I actually feel guilty knitting socks with anything other than STR. I told you it was weird. And it’s a shame too because I think this yarn would make excellent Monkeys.

It’s rainy and icky and I’d love to just sit and knit my socks. For a change, I actually have to go out today. Figures.

Lace

Before I go to bed at night, after sitting on the couch for hours knitting and watching tv with my baby, I check the computer one last time – for emails, the odd bloglines post, whatever. Monday night I was doing my thing and I saw that Anne had posted. She wrote about a local fiber festival she attended and some of her purchases, including some merino laceweight from Knitting Notions. Little did Anne know, but she was tapping into my brain! I have been thinking about lace off and on for weeks – thinking about my next big project. I’m done with blankets for the time being, done with the crochet for now (yes, I will be finishing the Larger Than Life bag), socks are zipping along at sweat shop speeds, but that’s going to break soon.

And I’m going away in like two weeks. We’re going to California again – this time San Fran and Lake Tahoe – and I’ll need something major to take with me. Socks, of course, but something else too.

In walks Anne with her “incredibly soft” and “almost a fingering weight” (I’m not a fan of true lace weight) yarn and next thing I know I’ve bought three different colors.

Catherine at Knitting Notions was INCREDIBLY nice (crediting me for shipping when I added extra skeins the next morning) and the yarn got here FAST. I ordered it Monday night late (and Tuesday morning) and it arrived yesterday. That’s what I call service!

Now the fun begins! What to make with it? I think I’ve settled on a pattern: Anne’s Wing of the Moth Shawl. It seems only fitting since she enabled me to begin with. I was searching around the internets and I just LOVE Wendy’s version of this pattern – we both agree – lace should be blocked SEVERELY and just look at her CORONAS! Hubba hubba! I’m all over THAT!

Anyway, so I’m thinking of using the green apple for this – the only thing I need is some of those new Addi Turbo Lace needles. I gotta try them – I’m just hoping I don’t put a hole ALL the way through my finger.

Okay – so some questions about the picot edge on yesterday’s sock. I’m too far along on my sock to take pictures – maybe when I do the second Seastone sock – but really it’s easier than it sounds. You do your designated number of knit rounds (I did 5 but you can choose whatever number you like – don’t make it more than say, six, or less than, say 3 – just for arguments sake.) Then you do a round where you start with a yo and k2tog. Repeat this until you end with a k2tog. This lands you at the start of the next round. You then knit the same number of rounds that you started with – start with 5? Then knit 5. Good!

The next row is the tricky row. It’s not hard at all – just tedious. What you’re going to do is knit the stitches on the needle TOGETHER WITH the corresponding CAST ON stitch. I knit both loops of the cast on together with the live stitch. So you’re in essence FOLDING UP the cast on to make a hem – as soon as you do it you will see the little picot points come to life! It’s AMAZING! Like MAGIC (hence the unicorns that suddenly appear in your life!) The most important part is to make sure to get the corresponding cast on stitch together with the same live stitch. Otherwise you might get some buckling. Here’s a tutorial from Purlwise – although I don’t do a provisional cast on – I just cast on over two needles (whatever size I’m knitting with). I do that with all my socks. Makes for a stretchier cast on and I cast on tight. And here’s a video I found on the DIY network – this is really good! Shows you exactly what I’m talking about. Here’s the main page if the video link doesn’t work. Hope that helps!

I’m off to a Princess Party tomorrow – I’ve got to remember to bring my fabulous tiara – and I hope you have a great weekend too!

Mini Monkeys!

Oh my god!! Can I just tell you how much I LOVE my mini monkeys?!? THEY ARE THE CUTEST SOCKS EVER! And, if I didn’t believe it before, I’m here to bear witness that a picot edge makes EVERYTHING in the world sunshine and unicorns and rainbows. It’s like a big hot fudge sundae with whipped cream and rainbow jimmies and TWO cherries on top for your feet!

Here is my mini monkey formula: knit 5 rounds, yo k2tog – repeat for entire round, knit five rounds, knit together stitch and cast on edge to create picots next round, knit one round, start monkey pattern. I then did FOUR repeats for the cuff, which gave me about a 3.5″ – 4″ cuff, then do the heel and foot as directed by the pattern. All done on Size 1 Addis. I DEFY you to tell me these aren’t the cutest socks EVER!

I made them with vintage STR from my stash – the lighter pinky color is Watermelon Tourmaline, which is still available on the Blue Moon website, and the green blue colorway is Seastone, which Tina told me is now discontinued. Both socks are from the old put up – 325yds. I’m not sure how much I’ll have left over, but it won’t be much. There’s a possibility that I could do another repeat on the leg, but I think I’m sticking with this formula. I don’t have to worry about running out of yarn AND I don’t want them any higher on my leg. This length is PERFECT. The best part is that the monkey pattern really has little to no give so they stand straight up. No slouching here. I LOVE THEM!

Last night I cast on for the second Watermelon Tourmaline sock. I just wish it wasn’t a million degrees outside. I might just have to crank up the air and sock it around all day.

I received a couple concerned emails yesterday regarding my self-proclaimed craziness. Thank you so much for caring, but I didn’t mean to say that I was crazy (well, no more so than usual) but that IT was crazy. Meaning life. And all the stuff I have to do. I’ve got a lot of work which is GOOD, but I’m feeling the pull of the deadline, so I opted not to kill myself by staying up late to finish the socks and thus have a legitimate post for yesterday. I hope today makes up for that fact. Thanks for reading!

Tomorrow is another day.

I managed to knit to one repeat and the toe on my Seastone Mini-Monkey and then I gave up. I’m crazy today so this is what you get – socks will be modeled tomorrow.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow! You’re only a day AWAAAAAAAAAAAY!

I am an idiot.

Let me count the ways!

Firstly, it turns out I DON’T know what to do with miles and miles of acrylic. Oh I had grand plans, mind you, GRAND plans, but you know what they say about plans. Something or other about best laid and all that. My plan involved math and fibonacci patterns and my grandmother’s recipe for afghans and intricate color combinations and it was all going to be SO GOOD. Then I sat down and cast on 257 stitches on size 9 needles, knit two rows and thought OH MY GOD I cannot do this. Ripped it right the fuck out. I will admit something truly horrifying to you: I might just crochet Babette yet. With my acrylic collection. You heard me. I realized, while I was casting on 257 stitches that I could have crocheted like thirty million squares in the time it took to just CAST ON. I suck. I know. Sue me.

The fact that I couldn’t knit more than two rows of my most faboulous heirloom afghan might have to do with the fact that I’ve been hacking up a lung all weekend. A piddly annoying cold I had last week turned into HACKFEST 07 on Saturday. I worked really early in the morning and by the time I came home I couldn’t stop coughing. A few hours later and I was locked in my dark dark bedroom with a pile of pillows over my head so I could cough without my brain exploding in a million pieces. I’m no stranger to the headache, but I thought I was going to die. Or throw up. One or the other and I’m not sure that they’re not the same thing. I hate to throw up. I managed to sleep for a little bit and when I got up I was kind of okay and it’s only gotten better since then, but Saturday sucked.

Also, it was hot. I hate being hot almost more than anything. So I stayed in the house this weekend and knit a lot. You know how I know I knit a lot? I have a brand new hole in my left hand index finger – in a completely different spot than the old hole – and a brand new callus/blister on the third finger (yes, THAT finger) of my right hand. Guess what? I’ve got something to show for it! Which leads me to reason number 2 why I am an idiot.

It’s a MINI Monkey!! You may or may not know this about me, but I have A LOT of STR in my stash. A lot. Like, mindblowing amounts. (Although I bet there are a few people out there these days that could give me a run for my money.) Anyway, it’s not about how much you have, but how well you use it. At least that’s what I’m saying to you now. So, I’ve got a lot of it and a good portion of it is in the OLD put up, which was 325 yds. I’m beginning to think it was also a different recipe as well. This was before the days of lightweight and mediumweight and there was just ONE weight. Socks That Rock. I think the lightweight is a bit thinner now. Regardless, I thought monkey would make a great sock for my old put ups. I started knitting. I figured I could drop out one repeat on the leg and be good to go with my yardage. (Old put up=325; New put up=360.) I did Margene’s picot edge mod and started knitting away like a champ. I was about three repeats from the toe when I realized that I was DEFINITELY going to run out of yarn.

This is where the idiot part creeps in. Last Friday I had a lovely conversation with Margene about our monkeys. Now, you may not know this about Margene, but she’s 6′ tall. I’m 5’6″. So she’s got six inches on me. And, as biology would dictate, she’s got bigger feet than me. I’m about a 7.5 or 8 and she told me she’s about a 9 – 9.5. So we were perplexed at the fact that she did six repeats on her Monkey sock foot and I was doing EIGHT. We talked about how I like a really boxy toe and that I start my decreases right at the tip of my pinky and only decrease down to 14 stitches on each side (28 total) and that she does a much longer toe because, admittedly, her feet aren’t as pretty as mine. Which probably would account for ONE repeat on the foot, but TWO? What was going on here? Okay. Keep this in the back of your mind, but you’re probably getting the drift of my idiocy, right?

So I’m knitting away. Like a champ. Then I realize I’m going to run out of yarn blah blah blah. I think to myself, I better rip out back to the cuff and cut out a repeat on the leg because I still need to get EIGHT repeats on the foot, not to mention the toe decreases. RIP RIP RIP and somehow I’m back to where I started five hours later or something. Now I’ve got two more repeats to go and the toe and I’m TOTALLY GOING TO RUN OUT OF YARN. AGAIN! And I’ve already dropped a repeat on the cuff. I don’t want to RIP BACK.

Margene’s in my head with her six repeats on the foot. My other monkeys were a little long, but just HOW long? I take out my most recent sock and try it on – but this time I let the heel fall where it should and I stretch out the toe a bit and DUDE! I’ve been knitting a freaking EXTRA repeat on the toe this whole time! DAMN!

I finish off the mini monky and put it on and the foot/toe is PERFECT. I can’t believe what an idiot I’ve been! I must have put the ORIGINAL monkey on, thought it was fine where it was and cast off. Then, without thinking, I just copied that sock over and over and because it’s been so hot I haven’t been wearing them like I usually do. Sometimes I’ll wear that one finished sock the whole time I’m knitting the second.

It’s a good thing I figured out the problem because I had just enough yarn for the mini monkey with it’s cute picot edge.

This yarn is STR Watermelon Tourmaline, by the way. Once I was done this sock, I did was every self-respecting idiot knitter does and went stash diving. I came up with another mini monkey:

This is STR Seastone (which, I think, unfortunately, has been discontinued.) Hopefully I’ll have it finished today and a modeling picture tomorrow. The cuff is pretty short – about 3.5″ – but it seems longer on my foot. Very cute! And now I know that when I knit another full size monkey (there will be at least one more pair) I can add an EXTRA repeat on the leg. I’ve also gone back and fixed at least one of the finished monkeys. They’re so much better now. I’m an idiot, I swear.

Reason number three in the idiot dance is this whole I’ve got a secret game we’ve been playing. Now I feel like crap because you’re all coming up with these great fantastic things I might be doing and I’m not doing any of them! You guys! I’m very flattered that you think I would be capable of all these feats but the truth of the matter is that it doesn’t have to do with photography or a book or a new job – it’s just a personal thing and it’s HUGE in my life but maybe not so impressive in yours. So stop speculating. You’re making me feel bad with your confidence in my abilities when, in reality, I’m an absolute idiot. Just ask Ann.

More socks tomorrow because I’ve turned into a factory. Really. It’s sad.

PS – Happy Birthday Daddy! Happy Birthday Tina!

Two Little Monkeys

Jumping on the bed!
One fell off and bumped his head.
Mama called the doctor and the doctor said,
“NO MORE MONKEYS JUMPING ON THE BED!”

The monkey thing never gets old, does it?

Just this morning I finished my STR Dutch Canyon (Lightweight) Monkey Socks and I love them! So much so I’m casting on another pair this afternoon – using Margene’s FAB mod – the picot edge! Truly the new jaywalker has been born. I’m taking a chance with the new pair and going with the old put up – 325 yds – so we’ll see how I do.

(Oh yeah – and to all the people that questioned the validity of a DUTCH Canyon since Holland doesn’t seem to have any, Dutch Canyon is an area in Oregon near to Blue Moon Fiber Arts headquarters. I’ve got an answer for everything!)

In the meantime, a baby or a book?! That’s the best you could come up with it? Where’s your sense of adventure? Your sense of imagination? Mad props to those of you who thought things like – creative director of Red Heart – what was it? Acrylic Czar? HAHAHAHAHA! And especially to Kathy – she thought I might be taking over for Rosie at the View. Not on your life, my friend. Not on your life.

You’ll all just have to have a bit of patience. All will be revealed in time. Including what to do with miles of acrylic. I couldn’t get it together for today, so you’ll have to wait for Tuesday. I hope I don’t disappoint.

Have a great weekend everyone! Long or otherwise!

Mucho JUJU!

My peeps! I totally felt the JUJU slinging it’s way at me through the universe. I may have been hit in the face a couple of times, but that’s okay! The intentions were all good. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Don’t you hate it when bloggers start asking for good wishes and all that and then tell you they have a big big secret that they can’t reveal until all is aligned with the stars but trust them it’s really good and exciting and life changing and blah blah blah? Yeah. Me too. But fortunately or unfortunately that’s where I’m at. I don’t want to talk about it. Or I do, kind of, but I can’t. It’s weird for me to have a secret because I’m not so good with the secrets when they pertain to me – I’ll tell my life story to a stray cat in the back alley behind the supermarket. Poor cat. All he wants is some scraps but instead he gets me blabbing my life away. But it’s also kind of nice to have this for myself. For a little while at least.

Now I know you all want to speculate and all that and that’s good because I would too. Please, though. Don’t ask me because I ain’t gonna tell you! 😉

I made it through yesterday and am looking forward to the next time I need to ask you for some juju. I’ll be a bit crazy for awhile, but that’s okay. I’m dealing with the crazies the best way I know how. With fiber arts!

Some more middles and some more 2nd color rounds of the crochet. I could have a finished pair of socks already if it wasn’t for this hooking stuff. And then, yesterday, while out and about, I stopped in to Acryl-O-Mart and found yet another fantastic color of Red Heart. Damn! This could throw the whole square sequence out the window. Good thing I have enough of this yarn to…to…. I don’t know. What do you do with a million yards of leftover acrylic?

I know EXACTLY what you do with a million yards of acrylic. But I’m not telling you until tomorrow.

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

PS – Since I don’t want anyone’s head to explode, I can tell you unequivocally I am NOT pregnant and I am NOT writing a book. Doesn’t that make you all feel better?
