You’re All Winners In My Book!

So I’ve picked two winners and they have both been notified. I’m just waiting to hear from one of the winners before I announce them here. Stayed tuned.

But really – you are ALL winners! Way to restore my faith in contests! WHOO HOO! We’ll have to have another one soon. And because I love you all, I’m offering a conciliation prize!

Doing the Laundry with Daddy from January One on Vimeo.

Yup. That’s right. I love you so much I’ve uploaded a long boring video of my kid. It’s true, I’ve become one of THOSE parents. Anyway, my little one turns eight months old tomorrow! EIGHT MONTHS! I’m astonished. We were watching some video the other day of her when she was so little and oh my god already I miss my baby. This video is a good example of how she doesn’t stop. Ever. I fear teeth and true mobility are weeks if not days away. I’m afraid. Very afraid.

Enjoy!

THANK YOU!

  1. My kids loved watching her play. hope they don’t get any ideas and take my laundry baskets.

  2. I still love this. I love babies, but am much too young to have one, and my little cousin is much to far away. so I watch and look at your baby, and she really is gorgeous. I remember when my siblings were at this age – not that I remember the months I just remember how they “talked” – it was so much fun.

  3. I wont lie, you should be very, very afraid ;D

  4. oops! she fell over! I personally would have been a “basket case” but am so proud that it was nothing to you –
all best and love and “old fart” kisses 4ever –

  5. Stop that, you’re making me lactate! And I haven’t nursed in over 3 years!

  6. Aww!!! Cute little baby – she’s grown a lot! No matter what you say, she’s very entertaining and she perked me up after a long day. Thank you!

  7. Love to Meli!!! And I’ve become one of THOSE parents too – have you read my blog lately? Sheesh!
I love the look on her face when she falls over and then can’t sit back up… D*&MMIT! Raley makes the same face – she would have fallen over much sooner, I think. I haven’t tried laundry basket as baby containment device, but I think I just might tomorrow! Glad you guys are doing well! Love, S&R

  8. O boy, you should be afraid. Hahahaha. My eldest daughter walked at 9.5 months and my boy at 9 3/4 months. Enjoy the few weeks of ‘freedom’ you still have (ROTFL). But it is soooo nice to see all those developments!
Big kiss for Meli from Samuel (who loves watching her on tape!)

  9. She is such a doll!

  10. hey, everything you guys went through to have that little one in your life….you have as much license to post as many baby videos as you like. =]
she is absolutely preccious!! i want to nom those little fingers!!

  11. Oh I miss those baby sounds and movements. Thank you for sharing the vid.

  12. At least we don’t still have to wait for parents to set up projectors and thread film before we get to watch the long videos of their kids.
Even I think the time’s gone quickly, though she’s not my daughter.

I love watching your MOST adorable babe. My daughter was just as little & we used a basket to contain her as we got ready to visit family. She tipped over & bumped her forehead on the door jamb, causing a HUGE, obscene lump! We rushed her next door to two elderly lady pediatricians who worked from their home. They checked her (no charge!) but tried very hard to get us to confess that we let her roll off the bed 🙁
She got over the bump but I have never forgotten it.

  14. My husband often says, “can’t we just keep him like this?” Our son will be 5 next month. I miss the baby, but the little boy is so much fun to have around. You’ll see 🙂

  15. I know what you mean. Ours is 9 months, and I was looking at pictures from when he was 3m, unbelievable how little he was now! Mobility is scary but fun. I think our guy was very frustrated at not being able to get where he watned to go, now that he can get around he is such a happier little boy. but man, good thing we put in those safety gates.

  16. Oh, she’s such a love! It never, ever gets old, no matter how big they get. Trust me.

  17. i want a super cute baby in my laundry basket, too!!!

  18. That they grow up so fast is probably one big reason so many of us choose to have another. 🙂 Just enjoy the heck out of each minute, and know you have so many wonderful times ahead.

  19. Boy I could smell dryer sheets and sweet baby in that video. takes me back and mine is 20 and a thousand miles away at college…

  20. The Kid is adorable!!!

  21. I am so right there with you – ain’t it great?!?

  22. This is too cute. Enjoy it they grow up fast. Mine are….2 teen boys Ugh! No really they are great. No really… I got to go pull them apart.
