Lost

All my yarn, except a couple of socks and the sweater I have on the needles, is in storage. And my house STILL isn’t listed yet. Before the weekend if it kills me.

I just want my life back.

Comments

  1. Ugh, moving is a pita. Hopefully, you’ll get offers soon and your life can get back to normal.

  2. Hang in there!! It will all be worth it in the end.

  3. I can’t imagine moving. Wish I could pack a few boxes for you with a twitch of my nose!
    XOXOXO

  4. Selling and buying houses at the same time is one of the most stressful processes imaginable. Your whole world turns upside down. Try not to worry – you WILL get through it, and it WILL be worth all of the stress and upheaval. Best of luck!

  5. Yikes–sorry, girl! I’ll be thinking good thoughts for you–thoughts of survival! 😉

  6. I totally hear you. I just got my house on the market after about a month and a half of decluttering and putting stuff in storage. I made certain to keep ONE box of yarn that I could dip into for new projects. It goes under the bed so it stays out of sight. And it’s the only thing under the bed, so if anyone looks, it doesn’t look like a disaster under there.
    Good luck!

  7. Best wishes to you and yours to power through without too much trouble!

  8. Moving sucks! Hopefully everything will go smoothly and you’ll have your stuff back soon. My stash was stuck in storage for over a month before we finally got a house. Fingers crossed that this is our last move before hubby retires from the military.

  9. I understand exactly how you feel at the moment. I am starting to pack things away to sell our house at the moment too, so I hope it doesnt take too long to sell it.

  10. Have you actually moved yet? Or are you waiting to sell the old place? Having just moved a little over a year ago, I feel your pain! Good luck.

  11. Oh, there’s nothing worse than moving! (Well….)Hey, if nothing else, having all your yarn boxed up should get you motivated to unpack!!

  12. It’s the worst, isn’t it? Hopefully your saga won’t drag on like ours did! Good luck for a swift sale, Cara.

  13. Ack! That’s … kinda nightmarish, to me. To not be able to look at and fondle my stash?
    Here’s hoping for a quick sale. =)

  14. Awww…*hugs!*. Moving is tough, tough, tough.

  15. I hate packing and moving. HATE it. Soon things will get back in order, though.

  16. Just went through the declutter & listing process myself. Though I did keep more yarn out since who knows how long it’ll take for a sale in the current market. Good luck to you also!

  17. Until now I had never considered what would happen if we wanted to sell our house: to get it into pristine, gracious, spacious, wouldn’t-you-just-love-to-live-here shape, all of my yarn would have to live elsewhere for the duration. I will never, ever move.
But HUGE congrats on finding the perfect house! That is beyond awesome.

  18. I hear ya, sister! I didn’t see my yarn for at least 6 months (packed up in June, delivered to new house across the country in December). Of course, I didn’t really have much knitting time (what with moving, and baby, and all), so it wasn’t a big loss. I remember what a headache it was getting our place listed, too – took us at least 3 times longer than I thought it would!
Anyway, hugs and best wishes from us!

  19. good luck Cara!

  21. CRAZINESS!! Best of luck! I just watched Meli WALKING!!! that’s so exciting!!! congrats, and good luck with that too – keeping up with her that is. 🙂 hehehe
